Related Ross has completed the land acquisition for Village Landing, a planned mixed-use project at the intersection of Stribling Way and State Road 7 in Wellington. With the site now secured, the company is preparing to begin construction, with groundbreaking anticipated to take place this fall.
Village Landing is envisioned as a new walkable village center for Wellington, combining hospitality, retail, office, and dining uses in a single destination. Plans call for an 180-room hotel, paired with more than 300,000 combined square feet of retail, office, and restaurant space. The program is designed to create a concentrated activity hub that can function throughout the day and into the evening, drawing visitors, workers, and local residents.
The master plan incorporates six connected plazas and green spaces that will link the different components of the project. At the core of the development, a village square and a lakefront boardwalk are expected to serve as focal gathering points, tying together the hotel, shops, restaurants, and office space. This layout is intended to encourage walkability within the site and provide multiple vantage points and public spaces along the lakefront.
Village Landing represents Related Ross’s first major expansion in South Florida beyond its existing presence in West Palm Beach. By moving into Wellington with a large-scale, mixed-use concept, the company is positioning Village Landing as a regional destination as well as a local community asset, with a mix of uses that can support both everyday needs and special events.
Retail programming is expected to be a central feature of the project. Related Ross is planning more than 80 shops, supplemented by daytime cafés, market concepts, and destination restaurants. Many of these food and beverage and retail spaces are planned around the lake, creating a waterfront-oriented experience and reinforcing the role of the boardwalk and plazas as primary gathering areas within the development.
In addition to its commercial components, Village Landing is being planned as a community-oriented venue. The development is expected to host farmers markets, holiday festivals, fun runs, pop-up events, and local celebrations. These activities are intended to add a regular calendar of programming and give residents and visitors multiple reasons to return to the property. Village Landing is also being positioned as an everyday place for families and neighbors to spend time together, whether for casual dining, shopping, or simply using the public plazas and green spaces.
