**First Residential Phase of Buzzard Point Development Opens in Washington, DC**

Akridge and National Real Estate Development have announced the grand openings of Colette and Everly, the first two residential towers within The Stacks, a new large-scale community located in Washington, DC’s Buzzard Point neighborhood.

Spanning nearly one million square feet, The Stacks was designed as a walkable, mixed-use community. The development features 1,116 residential units and over 90,000 square feet of shared amenities across its three residential buildings. In addition, the community includes approximately 40,000 square feet of retail space and 11,000 square feet of dedicated coworking facilities.

“Between these two new residential towers and their sister building, The Byron, which opened earlier this year, The Stacks offers three distinctive luxury living options to match residents’ needs,” said Adam Gooch, Managing Principal and Chief Development Officer at Akridge.

Once fully completed, The Stacks will encompass 2 million square feet of mixed-use space, comprising residential apartments, retail, hotel, office space, public open areas, and a selection of shops and dining options.

The project is a joint venture between Akridge, Bridge Investment Group, Blue Coast Capital, and institutional funds managed by National Real Estate Advisors.
