Childcare franchise The Learning Experience is preparing a multi-year expansion that will introduce 14 additional locations across the New York Tri-State area and Upstate New York. Over the next 18 months, the company expects to add nine new centers in the Tri-State region and five in Upstate markets, supplementing an existing network of 43 locations already operating in the Tri-State area.
The planned rollout in the New York Tri-State region is staged over several years, beginning in late 2026. A new location in Fair Lawn, NJ is scheduled for opening in the fourth quarter of 2026. Following that, the brand is targeting Monroe, CT for a new site in the first quarter of 2027, extending its reach within the broader regional childcare landscape.
The expansion continues through 2027 with multiple additional openings. New locations are expected in Islip, NY in the third quarter of 2027, and in Sparta, NJ and Old Bridge, NJ in the fourth quarter of 2027. These centers are part of a coordinated growth plan aimed at adding coverage across a mix of suburban communities within the Tri-State footprint.
Further growth is scheduled into 2028, with several locations planned for Long Island and northern New Jersey. The Learning Experience intends to open new facilities in Port Jefferson Station, NY and East Meadow, NY in the first quarter of 2028, alongside a location in Hauppauge, NY slated for the same period. The Tri-State program concludes with a new center in Belleville, NJ scheduled for opening in the second quarter of 2028.
In Upstate New York, the company is planning additional locations to complement its presence in the New York City market. The Learning Experience expects to open three new centers in the Syracuse area, specifically in Liverpool, Clay and Syracuse. These sites are part of a cluster strategy intended to serve families across that metropolitan area and its surrounding communities.
The Upstate expansion also includes a new location in Albany and another in East Amherst, near Buffalo. Together with the Syracuse-area projects, these Upstate openings are scheduled across a window running from the third quarter of 2027 through the first quarter of 2028, aligning broadly with the timing of the Tri-State rollout.
Across both the Tri-State and Upstate phases of this program, each planned location is designed with a consistent physical footprint. The Learning Experience expects each facility to include up to 10,000 square feet of indoor building space. In addition, each property is planned to feature an outdoor playground of up to 5,000 square feet, reflecting a standardized model for the company’s childcare centers.
By concentrating new development in a mix of suburban and regional hubs, the expansion positions The Learning Experience to increase its coverage in both the New York City market and key Upstate metros. The combination of multiple scheduled openings, a repeatable building program and a defined rollout timeline underscores the company’s emphasis on scaling its childcare offering across a wide geographic area.
