Park Aerospace Corp., a producer of composite materials and engineered structures for the aerospace sector, plans to invest $65 million in a new manufacturing facility at Tulsa International Airport in Oklahoma. The company announced that the project will be located within the airport’s North Development Area, positioning the plant within an established and growing aerospace cluster tied directly to airfield operations.
The facility is planned for an 18-acre site at the airport, with site work and construction expected to commence in the near term. Park Aerospace has indicated that completion of the project is anticipated for 2028, signaling a multi-year buildout that will extend activity and investment at the airport’s industrial campus over several planning cycles.
State leadership is highlighting the project as part of a broader push to expand Oklahoma’s aerospace footprint. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt described the investment as evidence that the state’s aerospace industry is continuing to grow and compete globally. He also pointed to Park Aerospace’s decision to expand in Tulsa as a reflection of the area’s workforce capabilities, its pro-business climate and ongoing momentum as a location for advanced aerospace manufacturing operations.
The new manufacturing facility will join a cluster of aerospace-related investments already under way at Tulsa International Airport’s aerospace campus. According to the airport, recent activity includes expansion by Agile Space Industries, which is growing its propulsion testing and manufacturing operations on-site. In addition, Quantum Space has committed to a new spacecraft manufacturing facility on the campus, contributing to an increasingly diversified mix of aerospace and space-related production uses.
The airport also reports continued growth from Lufthansa Technik Component Services, a long-standing tenant at the aerospace campus. The combination of new entrants and expansion by existing operators underscores a pattern of incremental investment in and around the airport environment, anchoring additional industrial and manufacturing activity to the airfield. For commercial real estate stakeholders, the Park Aerospace project reinforces the role of airport-adjacent industrial sites as strategic locations for specialized manufacturing and engineering uses tied to the global aerospace supply chain.
