MRP Realty Promotes Zach Wade to President and Chief Operating Officer

MRP Realty’s Zach Wade Named President, Chief Operating Officer
CRE Market Beat Take
Elevating a long-tenured capital markets and acquisitions leader to president/COO reinforces MRP Realty’s focus on disciplined growth and platform scalability in its core East Coast markets.

MRP Realty has elevated industry veteran Zach Wade to the roles of president and chief operating officer, formalizing a leadership position that reflects his long-standing influence on the firm. The company, which develops commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects in the Washington DC metropolitan area and across the southeast, noted that Wade previously served as a principal at MRP.

Managing Principal Bob Murphy credited Wade as being central to the firm since its earliest days. According to Murphy, Wade joined during MRP Realty’s first year in operation and has played a key role in the company’s growth trajectory. Murphy said the combined president and COO titles are intended to better align with Wade’s focus on expanding the platform through strategic capital formation, acquisitions, and technology initiatives.

The expanded role underscores Wade’s nearly 30 years of commercial real estate experience. Over his career, he has worked across acquisitions, capital raising, and platform development, disciplines that have directly contributed to MRP Realty’s evolution as an owner-investor and developer. The firm reports more than $8 billion in completed transactions spanning all major property types across the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast.

Prior to joining MRP Realty, Wade served as Director of Acquisitions for the Mid-Atlantic region at NPV/Direct Invest. That firm operated as an investment partner to Lehman Brothers, giving Wade experience in institutional capital alignment and regional acquisition strategies before his move to MRP.

MRP Realty’s platform today reflects the breadth of Wade’s background, with activity across office, residential, industrial, and mixed-use assets. The company positions itself as a vertically integrated real estate firm, engaging in the development and investment of properties across multiple sectors and geographies within its core markets.

The leadership change signals a continuation of MRP Realty’s existing strategic direction rather than a shift in focus. By formally consolidating operational and strategic responsibilities under Wade’s dual title, the firm is emphasizing continuity in capital deployment, transaction execution, and the integration of technology across its portfolio and investment initiatives.
