Logos Faith Development Secures $500K Investment to Develop Affordable Housing in South LA

Logos Faith Development (LOGOS), a Los Angeles-based social impact real estate firm, has received a Program Related Investment of over $500,000 from the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation. This capital infusion will enable LOGOS to advance its mission of transforming underutilized church properties and adjacent lots into affordable housing in South Los Angeles.

The funding will support the pre-development phase of a new 24-unit apartment complex that will provide 100% affordable housing for low-income families and Section 8 voucher holders. Construction of the project is expected to begin in 2026.

Pastor Martin Porter, founder and CEO of LOGOS, expressed gratitude for the support. “We are honored to receive this funding and show of support and validation for LOGOS from such an iconic foundation,” said Porter. “We think this is the beginning of a great partnership between our two organizations to get into the breach and solve the lack of affordable housing in the region. Together is better!”

The investment reflects a growing recognition of faith-based collaborations in addressing housing insecurity across underserved communities.
