**Upper East Side Apartments Sell for $10.4M to Overseas Investor**
Marcus & Millichap has facilitated the $10.4 million sale of a 34-unit multifamily property located at 234-236 East 88th Street in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The 17,110-square-foot asset was brokered by Joe Koicim and Logan Markley, who represented the seller and secured the buyer in the transaction.
“This was a rare opportunity to acquire an 82% free-market multifamily asset on the Upper East Side of Manhattan,” said Koicim, a representative of the NYM Group at Marcus & Millichap. “We leveraged our long-term relationships with foreign investors to match the right buyer to the deal to close at $10.4 million for the seller. This is the third deal we’ve closed with foreign investors in the past 45 days.”
The property is ideally situated just two blocks from the 86th Street subway station, offering access to the 4, 5, and 6 lines, as well as proximity to the Q line on Second Avenue. It is also near local amenities such as Carl Schurz Park, the East River Esplanade, Whole Foods Market, Target, The Dalton School, and Hunter College.
