The Davis Companies has secured a new industrial lease with Downeast Global Logistics LLC at 530 John Hancock Road in Taunton, MA. The property is located within the 1,000-acre Myles Standish Industrial Park, a major industrial hub in the city. Downeast Global Logistics is described as a New England regional extension of SEKO Logistics’ global supply chain network, and the firm plans to use the space to expand its distribution operations.
Under the lease, Downeast Global Logistics will occupy 107,055 square feet beginning in August 2026. The leased premises are part of a larger 181,980-square-foot industrial facility, positioning the tenant to scale its activity within a single-building footprint. The transaction underscores ongoing occupier demand for modern distribution space in established industrial parks.
Davis originally acquired the 181,980-square-foot building in 2020, at a time when the facility was fully leased to an international logistics and distribution company. That prior tenancy illustrates the asset’s ongoing appeal to logistics users and its positioning within a regional supply chain network. Following changes in occupancy, Davis moved to reposition the building in the leasing market.
Late last year, the firm launched a leasing initiative aimed at attracting new tenants to the property. That campaign was undertaken with a CBRE team led by Robert Byrne. The effort ultimately resulted in the long-term lease commitment by Downeast Global Logistics, securing a new occupant for a significant portion of the facility.
David Allen, managing director of asset management at Davis and lead for the firm’s industrial and self-storage vertical, characterized the agreement as a reflection of the ongoing strength of the industrial sector. He also highlighted Davis’ collaborative approach to aligning innovative tenants with spaces that support their growth and operational needs. The lease at 530 John Hancock Road provides Downeast Global Logistics with additional distribution capacity within an established industrial environment.
The combination of a large contiguous footprint, placement within the Myles Standish Industrial Park, and a logistics-focused tenancy reinforces the property’s role in the regional industrial network. With the Downeast Global Logistics lease set to commence in August 2026, Davis has secured a key occupancy milestone for the Taunton asset following its targeted leasing outreach.
