The Colliers-MSDC partnership strengthens brokerage access to physician practices, reinforcing healthcare office as a distinct, relationship-driven niche within the Washington market.

Colliers has entered into a new partnership with the Medical Society of the District of Columbia (MSDC), positioning the firm as a dedicated real estate resource for physicians across the Washington region. The collaboration is designed to give MSDC members direct access to commercial real estate expertise tailored to medical practices.

Under the arrangement, Colliers will serve as MSDC’s recommended advisor on office space and practice operations, providing guidance to physicians as they evaluate, secure, and manage clinical and administrative locations. The firm brings experience working with a portfolio of medical tenants, which it will apply to the unique requirements of healthcare users, including private practices and physician groups.

MSDC is described as the largest physician organization in Washington, D.C., representing more than 3,000 doctors in the area. The society already offers its members a range of non-real estate resources, from insurance guidance to legal and regulatory support, in addition to connections with vendors and advocacy before local policymakers. The new partnership with Colliers adds a formal real estate component to that support structure.

According to Joshua Cramer, Executive Vice President at Colliers, the two organizations structured the relationship to function as more than a traditional sponsorship. He noted that the goal is to create a program through which Colliers can share its expertise in a more intentional way, helping physicians address real estate decisions that affect day-to-day practice operations.

MSDC leadership views the agreement as a way to translate industry knowledge into practical advantages for its members. Matthew Lecuyer, MD, President of the Medical Society of DC, stated that Colliers’ involvement directly supports physicians by giving them access to specialized resources and insights that can have a tangible impact on how their practices run.

While specific services and initiatives under the partnership were not detailed, the focus on real estate and operations suggests that physicians will have a clearer pathway to professional advice when evaluating office space options or making changes to existing locations. For Colliers, the arrangement reinforces its presence in the healthcare segment by formalizing its role with a major regional physician organization.

The partnership underscores the importance of aligning medical practices with experienced commercial real estate advisors who understand the operational, regulatory, and physical needs of healthcare users. As MSDC continues to advocate for physicians on a range of issues, Colliers is expected to play a complementary role by helping members navigate the built environment in which their practices operate.
