GBT Realty Corporation has outlined plans for The Crossroads of Gallatin, a nearly 300,000-square-foot retail project slated to deliver new shopping, dining and service options in Gallatin, Tenn. The planned center is positioned about 30 miles northeast of Nashville and is intended to serve both local residents and the broader Nashville metropolitan area.
According to the company, The Crossroads of Gallatin is expected to be the largest new shopping destination built in the Nashville MSA since 2015. That scale sets the development apart from other recent retail projects in the region and underscores the growth of Gallatin as a suburban node within the larger metro.
GBT Realty’s current plan envisions a contemporary open-air retail environment with a range of formats and footprints. The site layout calls for approximately 30,000 square feet of divisible shop space that can accommodate multiple smaller tenants across the property. These smaller spaces are intended to support day-to-day neighborhood retail, services and local or regional concepts.
In addition to the shop space, the plan includes several larger-format retail spaces. These will range from roughly 5,000 square feet up to about 55,000 square feet, allowing for a mix of mid-size and big-box users. The flexibility in box sizes is designed to support a variety of merchandising strategies, from specialty stores to larger anchors, depending on tenant demand as leasing progresses.
The project also features six outparcels along the site, each ranging from approximately one acre to 1.7 acres. These pads provide opportunities for users such as restaurants, freestanding retail or service-oriented tenants that benefit from standalone visibility and direct access from the surrounding road network.
The Crossroads of Gallatin is planned at the intersection of Green Lea Boulevard and Harris Lane. The site sits immediately adjacent to Vietnam Veterans Boulevard/SR-386, a key regional corridor that currently carries more than 47,000 vehicles per day. That level of traffic exposure is a central part of the project’s positioning, offering retailers prominent frontage and convenient access for shoppers coming from both Gallatin and the wider Nashville area.
With plans now publicly unveiled, The Crossroads of Gallatin advances as a significant new retail destination for the region, pairing scale, multiple retail formats and prominent highway exposure in a growing suburban submarket of the Nashville MSA.
