Kidder Mathews Enters Texas Market with New Dallas Investment Sales Team

Kidder Mathews Expanding into Dallas
CRE Market Beat Take
Kidder Mathews’ first Texas office, built around a seasoned investment sales team and healthcare tenant specialist, signals intensifying competition for advisory mandates in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Kidder Mathews has established a presence in Dallas, Texas, marking the firm's first office in the state and extending its platform to 20 locations across six states. The new operation is anchored by the addition of six professionals, combining an investment sales team with a specialist focused on healthcare tenant advisory services.

The Dallas office will serve the broader Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, reflecting the firm's focus on a market it views as one of the nation's more dynamic commercial real estate hubs. Kidder Mathews' leadership emphasized that the expansion follows a measured approach, centered on assembling a team they consider well suited to local market conditions before formally entering the region.

Leading the investment sales effort are Mart Martindale, Brandon Beeson, and Wilson Stafford, who previously co-founded Edge Capital Markets. They are joined by investment sales professionals John David Cobb and Claire Schmeltekopf. Together, these brokers bring experience working with both institutional and private clients, with a track record built at Edge Realty Partners and its Edge Capital Markets platform.

In addition to the investment sales group, Barrett Jones has joined the Dallas office as a healthcare tenant advisory specialist. His role adds a dedicated focus on healthcare-related occupier needs, broadening the advisory capabilities available to clients in the region. The combination of investment sales and healthcare tenant advisory services is intended to provide coverage across a range of office and healthcare-related requirements in the local market.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill Frame, SIOR, CCIM, underscored that the firm has been intentional in timing and structure of its move into Dallas, noting that management sought the right personnel before expanding into the market. His comments framed the opening as a strategic step within Kidder Mathews' broader U.S. growth trajectory.

The Dallas-Fort Worth office is expected to serve clients across Texas and neighboring states, building on the relationships the team developed while at Edge Realty Partners. Their prior platform focused on investment sales assignments for a mix of institutional investors and private capital sources, experience that now transitions under the Kidder Mathews brand.

Looking ahead, Kidder Mathews plans to extend its local service lines beyond brokerage. The firm intends to add Asset Services and Valuation Advisory capabilities in Dallas-Fort Worth, positioning the new office to provide property management and valuation-related support in addition to transaction services. These planned additions would align the Dallas operation with the broader set of offerings the firm provides in its other markets.

With this move, Kidder Mathews deepens its reach into the Texas commercial real estate landscape by combining an investment sales platform, healthcare tenant advisory expertise, and a pipeline of future service lines under a single office serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
