CRE Market Beat Take
SecureSpace’s continued clustering of Class A, climate-controlled assets in Seattle’s south end underscores ongoing user demand for institutional-quality self-storage in infill urban locations.

SecureSpace Self Storage has opened a new self-storage facility at 5890 South 129th Street in Seattle, Washington, expanding its presence in the city’s south end. The property has been rebranded as SecureSpace Seattle Skyway and joins the company’s portfolio of locations in key urban markets across the United States.

The four-story building is described as a Class A, climate-controlled facility, providing a modern storage option for users in the surrounding area. The property offers 72,625 square feet of storage space distributed across 822 units. Unit sizes range from 5×5 to 10×30, accommodating a variety of storage needs from smaller personal items to larger household or business goods.

The facility is located just off Martin Luther King Jr Way South, a corridor that sees approximately 31,000 vehicles per day, according to the company. This visibility and access along a heavily traveled route positions the property to draw customers from a broad local catchment area.

SecureSpace Seattle Skyway is situated 1.6 miles north of the recently opened SecureSpace Tukwila facility and 4.7 miles southeast of SecureSpace Beacon Hill. With the addition of the Skyway location, SecureSpace continues to build out a cluster of self-storage properties serving multiple neighborhoods in the southern portion of Seattle.

SecureSpace Self Storage is headquartered in Redondo Beach and is described as a fast-growing self-storage platform in the United States. The company focuses on assets in key urban markets and emphasizes service quality and security features across its portfolio. The opening of SecureSpace Seattle Skyway adds another Class A, climate-controlled asset to that network.
