Texas commercial real estate firms are adding senior talent and closing new transactions across multiple markets. Lee & Associates reported that Courtney Knightstep-Buckout has joined the firm as Director in its Houston office, where she will oversee office landlord representation in the Clear Lake, Houston, and Baytown markets. She brings more than two decades of commercial real estate experience, having previously served as Senior Associate at Avison Young and Vice President at Madison Marquette.
Hoar Construction expanded its leadership team with the hiring of Synjyn Dodd as director of healthcare. Dodd, who has more than 20 years of experience, combines healthcare operations knowledge with construction leadership and has led teams on more than $10 billion in healthcare projects. His work has spanned large hospital campuses as well as specialized treatment facilities, underscoring continued investment in healthcare-related real estate and infrastructure.
Newmark strengthened its presence in North Texas by hiring agency leasing specialists Dalton Knipe, Weston King and Lauren (Halstedt) Esquivel as Directors in its Dallas office. Knipe and King focus on industrial agency leasing throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and are expected to help establish Newmark’s local industrial agency platform. Esquivel, who has more than 15 years of office leasing experience, is joining the firm’s existing Dallas Office Agency Leasing team, adding depth to its office landlord representation capabilities.
On the investment-sales front, Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of a 107-room Best Western hotel in Pecos, Texas. Allan Miller, an investment specialist in the company’s Austin office, held the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, Catering of Central Texas, LLC. Miller also procured the buyer, described as a private investor group, with additional support provided by Chris Gomes of the Miller-Gomes Hotel Team. The transaction highlights ongoing investor interest in hospitality assets in smaller Texas markets.
In the industrial and manufacturing sector, JLL secured a 146,442-square-foot lease in North Houston on behalf of Constellation Industries. The leased facility at 12800 Aldine Westfield Road will more than double the company’s existing manufacturing capacity in the market and is expected to generate 120 new full-time jobs. JLL professionals Jordan Raney and Jarret Venghaus represented Constellation Industries in the transaction, which expands the company’s operational footprint and underscores demand for large-scale industrial space in North Houston.
Taken together, these personnel moves, a hotel sale, and a major industrial lease illustrate the breadth of activity across Texas, with brokerage, construction, and advisory firms positioning to capture office, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial opportunities.
