Publix is expanding its footprint in the Jacksonville region with the upcoming openings of two new grocery stores—one on Anastasia Island and another in the Nocatee community. These additions will bring the total number of Publix locations in the region to 30.

On Anastasia Island, Publix has undertaken a complete rebuild and significant expansion of its existing store. The project began last year with the demolition of several adjacent retail spaces. The revamped store will feature approximately 54,000 square feet of retail space, a notable increase from its previous 48,500 square-foot layout.

Meanwhile, in the rapidly growing Nocatee area, the new Publix Marketplace will serve as the anchor tenant of the Valley Ridge shopping center. This $14 million, newly constructed store is located at 75 Irondale Road and is scheduled to open in mid-November.

Statewide, Publix operates a total of 882 stores throughout Florida.
