A joint venture between Benchmark Senior Living and National Development has announced the acquisition of Church Hill Village, an assisted living and memory care community located in Newtown, Connecticut. The 71-apartment facility has been renamed Benchmark at Newtown and will now be operated by Benchmark.

The acquisition was supported by financing from Webster Bank. This deal follows the partnership’s recent projects, including a new senior living community in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and the acquisition of a similar facility in Smithtown, New York.

Located at 2 The Boulevard in Newtown, the community is strategically situated near the intersection of I-84 and Route 6 in Fairfield County.

“Church Hill Village has built an excellent reputation over the past five years,” said Tom Grape, founder, chairman, and CEO of Benchmark. “Benchmark is excited to be serving more seniors and families in Fairfield and the surrounding area – providing the high-quality care and services Benchmark is known for.”

Benchmark currently operates nine senior living communities in Fairfield County.
