**Two Historic Charlotte Buildings Sell for $24.7M in Major Real Estate Deal**
Beacon Partners has sold two of its historic adaptive reuse properties in Charlotte—the Fowler Building and the Boxer Building—both originally constructed in the 1920s.
According to the Charlotte Business Journal, the Boxer Building, located at 1000 W. Morehead Street, was purchased by Linden Thomas & Co. for $14.7 million. Beacon originally acquired the 40,000-square-foot, three-story office building in 2017 for $7.3 million. Originally built in 1927, the property underwent major renovations in 2000 and again in 2014 to update its office space.
The second property, the Fowler Building, situated at 1447 S. Tryon Street, was sold to an affiliate of Brown Brothers Harriman for $10 million. Beacon had purchased the 18,000-square-foot office building in 2015 for $3.45 million. Built in 1928, the building still has 5,000 square feet available for lease.
Beacon Partners described its mission as being passionate about developing and acquiring high-quality properties. The company is focused on creating innovative new industrial, office, and mixed-use developments—or revitalizing existing ones—to breathe new life into urban spaces.
