Logistics Property Company Breaks Ground on Two-Building Development in Washington, D.C. Market
Logistics Property Company recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the launch of its first development in the Washington, D.C. market. The project, known as Beltsville Logistics Center, will feature two buildings totaling 270,000 square feet.
Strategically located along MD-200 with direct access to I-95, the development offers premier connectivity to key transportation hubs including downtown Washington, D.C., the Port of Baltimore, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
“We are pleased to announce the commencement of construction on our inaugural project in the Washington, D.C. market in this premier location,” said Mark Glagola, Senior Vice President of Logistics Property Company’s Northeast Region. “This is a strong, growing industrial market and we hope to develop additional projects in the area.”
The project team includes FCL Builders as the general contractor, Powers Brown Architecture serving as the architect, LJB Engineering as the structural engineer, and Salas O’Brien as the MEP engineer. The Beltsville Logistics Center is expected to be a significant asset to the supply chain network along the I-95 corridor and is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2026.
