**Parker Plaza West in Plano to Undergo $3.6M Renovation Backed by City Incentives**

A major renovation is in the works for Parker Plaza West, a 101,000-square-foot retail center in Plano that hasn’t seen significant upgrades in 50 years. The aging shopping center will receive a $3.6 million facelift, which will include new landscaping, a resurfaced parking lot, facade and paint improvements, updated lighting and signage, and the installation of a new irrigation system.

To support the revitalization, the City of Plano has approved financial incentives totaling nearly $600,000. These include a $300,000 cash grant and a $295,000 retail revitalization grant designated for facade improvements. The incentives are part of Plano’s retail revitalization program, approved in February 2024, which aims to encourage the redevelopment of older or underperforming commercial centers throughout the city.

Located on the northwest corner of Parker Road and Custer Road, the 8-acre Parker Plaza West site currently sits at 79% occupancy. The property is leased and managed by Harkinson Dewan. Renovation work is expected to begin in the upcoming months.
