The city of Phoenix is seeking proposals for the redevelopment of the Regency parking garage, located on Adams and 2nd streets next to the Hyatt Regency. According to a report from the Phoenix Business Journal, city officials are looking for a developer to transform this space into a full-service hotel with at least 400 rooms in order to support the nearby Phoenix Convention Center.
Interested developers must have experience completing at least one vertical mixed-use development with seven or more stories within the past five years.
Plans are also in motion for another hotel project in downtown Phoenix. This new hotel will be built on an adjacent parking lot near One North Central Building and will span 180,000 square feet over 17 stories. It will feature 236 rooms, as well as amenities such as meeting spaces totaling 23,000 square feet, a restaurant, rooftop pool and bar area,and fitness center with spa services.
