Nashville Developer Launches Affordable Housing Communities: Breaking Ground

Shelby House, a 195-unit affordable housing community developed by Holladay Ventures and Evergreen Real Estate, has officially opened its doors in Nashville. The developers have also announced the groundbreaking of the project’s second phase, 4th & Shelby. This mixed-use development will be located adjacent to Shelby House and is expected to add an additional 289 units of affordable housing by 2026. In total, both projects will provide much-needed affordable housing options for the Nashville community with a total of 484 units.

The second phase of this project will feature energy-efficient appliances and solar panels in order to promote sustainability. These apartments are reserved for families earning between 30% and 80% of the Area Median Income.

Holladay Ventures and Evergreen Real Estate partnered with Samaritan Recovery Community (SRC) on this project, along with participation from PNC Bank.

According to Holladay CEO Drew Mitchell, their company specializes in developing workforce-friendly solutions that not only focus on affordability but also positively impact local residents as well as the environment through intentional design choices.
