"Nashville Hotel Constructed by Dolly Parton"

Dolly Parton has secured a permit worth $45 million to transform her office space into a luxurious hotel. The country music legend purchased the 211 Commerce building for $75 million and plans to name it the Songteller Hotel. Along with guest rooms, the hotel will feature a museum showcasing Parton’s iconic fashion pieces and memorabilia from her successful career.

According to reports from Nashville Business Journal, the permit was issued earlier this month and covers renovations for seven floors of the 233,324-square-foot building. D&S Builders has been chosen as the general contractor for this project, having previously worked on two hotels in Pigeon Forge owned by Parton.

While this is Parton’s first hospitality venture in Nashville, she already owns several attractions in East Tennessee. Her most famous creation is Dollywood – an entertainment district that opened almost four decades ago in Pigeon Forge. It now includes two hotels, a water park and theme park. Last year saw another addition with HeartSong Lodge & Resort opening its doors at Dollywood – marking its second resort property.
