Resia, a prominent apartment developer, has announced plans to construct a new rental community at 1000 Jones Street in Fort Worth. The project will consist of 240 apartments and retail space on the ground floor, with an estimated cost of $61 million for the 12-story building. Additionally, Resia has filed permits for a neighboring parking garage that will cost $12.9 million and stand at 10 stories tall.
Construction is expected to begin in April of 2025 and be completed by February of 2027. The location is situated in downtown’s south end near ongoing projects such as Texas A&M-Fort Worth’s construction site and the first phase renovations at Fort Worth Convention Center.
According to reports from the Dallas Business Journal, Resia also has plans for another development on West Weatherford St., located on downtown’s west side. This project will feature a tower spanning twelve stories high along with a six-story parking garage totaling $54 million in costs; however, construction has not yet commenced.
On their website, GFF -the designer behind both projects- boasts about their involvement with these upcoming developments that are sure to enhance DFW’s apartment market scene.
