Henry’s Gymnasium is expanding to a new location in Seattle’s Capitol Hill district. The three-story space, located at 1617 Boylston Avenue and owned by Asana Partners, was previously the Boylston Garage but has been renovated for the gym’s use. The grand opening of this new location is scheduled for November 1.
Currently, Henry’s Gymnasium has another branch operating in Lower Queen Anne. Owner Glen Swain expressed excitement about serving the Capitol Hill community from their new location and expanding beyond their original spot in Queen Anne.
In 2023, Asana Partners completed a $6.2 million renovation of the former garage with help from Graham Baba Architects. This adaptive reuse project preserved many original features while updating and equipping the space to fit Henry’s needs.
The gym will also include amenities such as a med spa, member lounge, and bar area decorated with reclaimed wood finishes sourced from an old seminary that includes internal doors dating back over a century.
