"Tahoma Construction Services Company Launched by Puyallup Tribe"

Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) has recently announced the establishment of their own construction company, Tahoma Construction Services (TCS). This new venture will handle the growing number of construction projects for the tribe.

Specializing in both commercial and residential projects, TCS’s first major undertaking will be as general contractor for a housing complex consisting of 45 townhomes and 10 single-family homes. The project is being funded by the Tribe’s own funds.

According to Matt Wadhwani, Financial Officer and CEO of PTE, TCS not only provides job opportunities for Tribal members but also allows them to build their own projects. Additionally, it serves as a means for revenue diversification as they plan to expand and bid on local projects.

Under Puyallup Tribal Council leadership, PTE is the parent company of Tahoma Construction Services. As stated by Kyle Eley, COO at PTE: “Our ultimate goal is to create a profitable company that offers long-term employment opportunities within construction for our tribal members.”
