A new rehabilitation hospital is being built by Brooks Rehabilitation in Phoenix, adjacent to the Mayo Clinic. The two organizations are collaborating on a 60-bed facility that will be located on eight acres of land along Mayo Boulevard and 64th Street, near the ASU Health Futures Center. Brooks will provide direct care for post-acute rehabilitation patients while Mayo Clinic will offer limited ancillary support services. This project has an estimated cost of $70 million.
The development of this 80,000-square-foot rehab hospital is being led by Anchor Health Properties with Kitchell as the general contractor, Hoefer Welker as architect and Kimley-Horn as civil engineer. It is expected to open in summer 2026 and employ over 200 people through Brooks.
Ownership of the property belongs to Pan-American Financial Assistance Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization affiliated with Veyron based in New York City which specializes in arranging financing for projects like this one. The foundation will lease the property to a joint venture between Mayo Clinic and Brooks Rehabilitation.
