El Paso Approves $80 Million Entertainment Venue

A renowned music venue company has reached an agreement with the town of El Paso to construct a state-of-the-art outdoor music venue worth $80 million. The company, formerly known as Notes Live, Inc., has received final approval from the El Paso City Council for its project called Sunset Amphitheater. This 12,500-capacity amphitheater will be located in Northeast El Paso and will serve as the anchor for the mixed-use Cohen Entertainment District near Franklin Mountains.

The development of Sunset Amphitheater is a result of a public-private partnership between Venu and the City of El Paso. To support this project, the City Council has approved an economic incentive package worth $30.6 million which includes tax rebates and an 8-year development note valued at $8 million from Texas Economic Development (TED) Fund.

Set to open in time for touring season in 2026, Sunset Amphitheater is expected to create over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs while generating more than $5.4 billion in economic impact for El Paso.
