A 23-story residential tower is being proposed for the site of the former Babylon International condos in Brickell. The property, which was acquired by William A. Jacome earlier this year for $8.7 million, was previously home to Arquitectonica’s first Miami project.
The proposed development will feature a focus on racket sports and health and wellness, with amenities such as nine padel courts, four pickleball courts, one tennis court, a restaurant and a “longevity hub”. In addition to these facilities, there are plans for three floors dedicated to hotel space and five floors of residential units.
MVRDV has been tapped as the design architect for this project while ODP Architecture & Design will serve as the architect of record. Pre-application filings have been submitted to Miami-Dade County in order to receive feedback from county staff before moving forward with official applications.
