Two hotel projects are currently making progress through Nashville’s Metro Development and Housing Agency Design Review Committee. The 9 Group is spearheading a new development in The Gulch, having purchased a one-acre parcel for $6.9 million in 2016 at the address of 602 Ninth Ave S.
According to reports from the Nashville Post, The 9 Group plans to construct a towering building standing at approximately 185 feet with an impressive height of seventeen stories. While no specific brand has been announced yet, Atlanta-based Elevate Architecture Studio has been chosen as the design firm for this project.
Meanwhile, another exciting venture in The Gulch area seems to be moving forward as well. Recently approved by MDHA’s Design Review Committee is a sixteen-story hotel located at Grundy St (photo). Tidal Real Estate Partners based out of New York City will lead this project which includes plans for extended stay units totaling up to114 rooms and timeshare units reaching up to168 rooms along with ground-floor retail space spanning across14,532 square feet.The site was acquired by Tidal Real Estate Partners earlier this year for $29.25 million.
