The Providence Group, based in Charlotte, has successfully completed 22 retail transactions totaling over 250,000 square feet across the Carolinas. In the year of 2023 alone, The Providence Group executed more than $260 million worth of retail brokerage deals in its core markets.
Some notable recent transactions include partnerships with well-known national retailers such as Homesense and Marshall’s in West Fayetteville, NC; Nordstrom Rack in Matthews, NC; Burlington in Wilson, NC; Five Below in Mooresville ,NC; Planet Fitnessin Lincolnton ,NC ; Two Buck Saloonin Charlotte ,NC ; and Aldiin Irmo SC.
According to Darren Wood from The Providence Group,”Retailers have remained highly active following the holiday season and into a new year. We are witnessing an increase of interest from national brands and restaurants for suburban locations due to strong sales figures at prime locations coupled with limited supply caused by minimal new construction. Additionally,the shift towards remote work patterns has also positively impacted restaurant businesses located outside city centers.”
