Panther Island, once a polluted waste dump on the Trinity River, is undergoing a transformation thanks to the efforts of the Army Corps of Engineers and the Central City Flood Control Project. This 500-acre area in downtown Fort Worth is now poised to become a thriving public/private enterprise.
According to reports from The Dallas Business Journal, developer Tillar Partners has announced plans for a $120 million mixed-use project on Panther Island. Spanning about 12 acres, this development will feature Class A office space above retail shops and structured parking. Known as Vaquero Panther Island, it will encompass approximately 512,000 square feet and could potentially spur further private development in the area.
This exciting project marks another step towards revitalizing what was once an abandoned industrial site into a vibrant hub for business and community activities. Stay tuned for updates on this promising venture!
