CRE Market Beat Take
The Socorro expansion reinforces how AI data center supply-chain production is clustering in scalable industrial nodes, which may support long-term digital infrastructure employment and space demand in the El Paso area.

WiWynn Technology plans to expand its presence in Socorro, just outside El Paso, with a large new manufacturing facility focused on digital infrastructure. The company intends to build an 886,000-square-foot factory that will house production and related operations for equipment serving AI data centers. The facility is expected to require 2,000 workers, underscoring the scale of the new operation and its role as a regional employment generator.

WiWynn specializes in building infrastructure for AI data centers, supplying technology that underpins advanced computing environments. The planned plant in Socorro will support the distribution of IT cloud products and components, tying the site directly to global cloud and data center supply chains. By concentrating manufacturing and distribution functions at this location, the company is positioning the campus as a key node in the flow of equipment used to power AI workloads and cloud services.

The new project builds on WiWynn’s recent establishment in Socorro in 2025. With the addition of the planned factory, the company expects to operate a campus measuring more than 1.6 million square feet, supported by a combined workforce of approximately 2,500 employees. This broader campus footprint reflects a multi-year commitment to the community and to scaling production capacity for its data center-focused product set.

Local officials have moved to support the expansion. The city of Socorro approved an incentive package valued at $1.8 million to back the investment, signaling municipal interest in securing long-term industrial and technology jobs tied to the data center ecosystem. While specific development timelines and additional project details have not been disclosed, the combination of public incentives, significant square footage, and specialized AI and cloud infrastructure production points to a substantial digital infrastructure manufacturing hub emerging in the El Paso-area market.
