Texas A&M University Secures 47K-SF Lease in Washington, DC Expansion

Texas A&M University has expanded its presence in downtown Washington, DC, by signing a long-term lease for additional space at 1620 L St. NW. The university’s office will be increased to over 70,000 square feet from the current 47,418 square feet it occupies since 2020 as an outpost for the Bush School of Government and Public Service. The DC office features classrooms, conference spaces, study lounges and an admissions center along with a theater and lecture hall.

The building is now 95% leased with facilities such as lobby area elevator cabs common corridors outdoor terrace with kitchen gym and tenant-only conference facility all included in the package. Newmark’s Doug Damron & Chris Lucey represented Texas A&M while JLL’s Nathan Beach acted on behalf of landlord during this transaction..
