**Forterra Developers Plan 100-Acre Mixed-Use Project in Growing Taylor**
With the construction of a massive Samsung plant underway, the town of Taylor, Texas, is quickly becoming a hotspot for development activity. Forterra Developers is moving forward with plans for a 100-acre mixed-use project adjacent to Samsung’s new $42 billion facility. The new plant is expected to employ up to 10,000 workers, a significant figure considering Taylor’s current population of about 18,000 residents.
According to the Austin Business Journal, Forterra’s development will include 192,000 square feet of industrial space, 81,600 square feet of flexible office space, a 10,500-square-foot gas station, 9,000 square feet of retail offerings, single-family homes, and a built-to-rent residential community. Project completion is targeted for early 2027.
In addition to Forterra, several other developers have also turned their attention to the Taylor area. Key players with projects currently in the pipeline include CM Realty LLC, Transcend Group Holdings LLC, iMarket America Inc., RCR Rail Park Development Co., Quannah Partners LLC, KDC, and Megatel Group.
As the region braces for explosive job growth and economic expansion driven by Samsung’s arrival, Taylor is poised to transform into one of Central Texas’ most dynamic growth corridors.
