Sterling Realty Organization (SRO) has appointed Ko Choi as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, adding an experienced commercial real estate executive to its leadership team. The real estate corporation, which holds commercial assets and land in the Puget Sound and Salt Lake City markets, is positioning Choi to play a central role in overseeing its financial and organizational functions as it continues to grow.
In her dual role as Treasurer and CFO, Choi will oversee SRO’s capital markets and treasury functions, including the sourcing, management and deployment of capital to support the company’s strategy. Her responsibilities also extend to financial planning and accounting operations, where she will direct budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to align the firm’s performance with its long-term objectives.
Choi’s mandate includes tax strategy, with responsibility for guiding SRO’s approach to real estate taxation and entity structuring. She will also be in charge of shareholder communications, ensuring that investors receive clear and consistent information about the organization’s financial position and strategic direction. In addition, her oversight of human resources places her at the intersection of financial planning and organizational development as SRO expands its footprint.
With more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Choi joins SRO from Kemper Development Company, where she most recently served as Chief Financial Officer. At Kemper Development Company, she was responsible for financial leadership within a commercial real estate platform, experience that is directly relevant to SRO’s portfolio of commercial assets and development land.
Earlier in her career, Choi worked at Deloitte Tax, where she specialized in real estate taxation. In that role, she advised clients on complex partnership and pass-through entity structures, providing guidance on how to structure and manage real estate investments for tax efficiency. This background in advisory work, combined with her corporate CFO experience, gives her a perspective that bridges technical tax planning and practical capital markets execution.
Working closely with SRO’s executive leadership, Choi will focus on supporting the company’s financial strength and its strategic investments. Her role is intended to help enable SRO’s continued expansion across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West, with an emphasis on disciplined capital allocation and organizational readiness. By bringing capital markets, finance, tax and human resources under a single executive leader, SRO is aligning its internal capabilities with its growth plans in the Puget Sound and Salt Lake City markets.
