Craig Glendenning, a San Antonio-based developer, purchased four parcels south of the Alamodome in 2020 and has ambitious plans for their future. In the short term, however, he is opting to turn them into an RV park. Once market conditions improve in five to seven years’ time, Glendenning intends to transform the site into a dual apartment and hotel project consisting of 300 units each. He explained that “from an investment lending standpoint” it’s not yet feasible for him to pursue this endeavor at present.
Glendenning will invest $2 million in paving the site and constructing amenities so that it can be open for short-term rentals up to 30 days at around $75 per day until his long-term vision comes true. Connect CRE was first with news about this development opportunity near downtown San Antonio!
