Recreational vehicle sales have skyrocketed during the Covid pandemic, causing RV parks to regularly fill up and leaving supply unable to keep pace. In an effort to capitalize on this trend, a San Antonio group of developers are opening The Canopy Resort – a 295 site, 44-acre property located between Interstates 10 and 35 near the Schlitterbahn water park and Guadalupe River within an hour’s drive of both San Antonio and Austin.
The Canopy Resort is aiming to attract business by offering amenities such as pickleball courts, dog washing stations, gym facilities with pool access , Wi-Fi connections , 6 000 square foot clubhouse , playgrounds , six bathhouses with laundry facilities nearby as well as hiking trails . Additionally there will be large screen TVs for events like holiday themed programs plus BBQ areas along with convenience stores stocked with firewood snacks beer & wine .
Rates range from $80 – just over $100 per night while those staying multiple months can expect prices starting at either $750 or $775 depending on type of lot.
