A joint venture including NorthPoint Development, Olympus Ventures and a local family partnership has started construction on a 1-million-square-foot industrial building in Haslet, roughly 25 miles north of Fort Worth. The project marks the first phase of Intermodal Logistics Center West, a planned large-scale logistics campus.
Intermodal Logistics Center West is designed to span nine buildings totaling 8.4 million square feet on a 1,000-acre site. The development carries an estimated total capital investment of $750 million, positioning it as a significant industrial undertaking within the regional logistics landscape.
The initial building will be delivered in a cross-dock configuration intended to support high-volume distribution and logistics operations. Planned specifications include 40-foot clear heights, which accommodate modern racking and material-handling systems, and 100 dock doors to facilitate truck throughput and loading efficiency.
The design also calls for four oversized ramp doors, providing additional flexibility for truck and trailer movements. On-site parking is planned for 750 cars and 194 trailers, with trailer capacity expandable to 404 spaces, indicating accommodation for substantial trailer storage and staging activity as users scale operations.
CBRE has been engaged as the leasing agent for Building 1, giving the project an institutional brokerage platform for tenant outreach and lease-up. Crossland Construction Company will serve as the general contractor, overseeing vertical construction and site work for the initial phase.
The broader Intermodal Logistics Center West project will benefit from intermodal connectivity provided by BNSF, integrating rail access into the campus. This linkage is intended to support users that require efficient connections between rail and trucking networks for regional and national distribution strategies.
As the joint venture advances the first 1-million-square-foot building, the combination of large-format industrial design, rail connectivity and substantial planned capital investment highlights the continued build-out of logistics infrastructure at scale in Haslet.
