Mighty Equities is pursuing the development of a new boutique hotel in Houston’s Montrose area. If approved by the Houston Planning and Zoning Commission, this seven-story building would contain 52 keys and 25,000 square feet of food, beverage and entertainment options as well as a pool. The surrounding four-square-mile area has become known for its eccentricity, diversity and plethora of restaurants, cocktail bars and art galleries since it was developed in 1911. However over 50% of parcels near the proposed site are residential in use which may complicate approval from the commission who deferred their decision until August 10th during their July 27th meeting.
