OCVIBE, a planned 100-acre mixed-use district in Anaheim, has secured flexible office operator Kiln for a full floor at The Weave, the district’s mass timber office component. The commitment marks an early office lease for the campus, which is currently under development and scheduled to open its first phase in 2027.
OCVIBE described the project as a digitally connected, integrated environment that will combine workplaces, residential uses, entertainment venues, dining options, public space, and cultural programming. Within that broader plan, The Weave is positioned as an office building designed to support new patterns of work, with Kiln’s flexible workspace expected to serve employers and workers seeking alternatives to traditional offices.
Scott Frick, senior vice president of real estate and district operations at OCVIBE, said the team evaluated how workplace needs are changing and conducted a broad search for a coworking partner capable of shaping the next generation of workplace experience. He noted that the district’s concept is to bring multiple uses together on a single campus and that any coworking partner would need to align with that vision.
According to Frick, Kiln was selected because its model emphasizes flexibility, hospitality, community, and technology, attributes that OCVIBE views as aligned with where the office market is heading. By dedicating a full floor at The Weave to a hospitality-driven coworking provider, the district aims to give occupiers a range of workspace solutions from the outset of its initial phase.
Kiln, founded in Utah, operates as a coworking and flexible office provider and focuses on creating amenitized work environments for its members. The company currently serves more than 8,500 members across 3,300 companies through a growing network of locations in the Western United States. The Weave location at OCVIBE will expand that footprint into Anaheim as part of the district’s inaugural delivery.
The addition of Kiln is expected to integrate flexible workspace into the mix of uses planned for OCVIBE’s first phase, situating coworking alongside office, residential, entertainment, food and beverage, and other components within the same 100-acre district. As the development progresses toward its 2027 first-phase opening, the presence of a full-floor flexible office provider at The Weave is intended to support a range of occupier sizes and work formats within the emerging campus.
