A global luxury brand taking 844 square feet in a professionally managed Fulton Market asset supports the submarket’s positioning as a high-street retail corridor and strengthens rent expectations for small-format space.

Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has expanded its brick-and-mortar footprint in the United States with the opening of a new boutique in Chicago’s Fulton Market District. The store adds to the brand’s growing physical retail network and underscores its interest in positioning within established urban commercial corridors.

The boutique occupies 844 square feet within a historic building in the heart of Fulton Market. The design integrates the structure’s original Chicago brick, aligning Hublot’s branded retail aesthetic with the neighborhood’s existing architectural character. By preserving visible elements of the building’s fabric, the space ties the watchmaker’s contemporary image to Fulton Market’s industrial heritage.

The new Chicago store marks Hublot’s 16th boutique in the United States and its 20th location across North America. The additional location broadens the company’s direct-to-consumer presence in a key domestic market, adding another point of sale to its network of branded stores in major urban centers.

The boutique is located at 1133 W Fulton Market in a commercial property managed by The John Buck Company. The firm oversees a portfolio that reflects a long track record in large-scale commercial and mixed-use real estate. Since its inception, The John Buck Company has made principal investments in assets with an aggregate gross value exceeding $8 billion.

Over its history, The John Buck Company has acquired, developed, or redeveloped more than 48 million square feet of office, residential, and mixed-use properties. Its management of the Fulton Market building places Hublot’s new boutique within a professionally managed, institutionally active commercial asset.

Hublot, founded in 1980, operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of French luxury conglomerate LVMH. The brand’s decision to open a boutique in Fulton Market situates it among a mix of commercial users in a neighborhood known for adaptive commercial uses and ongoing evolution as a destination for retail, dining, and other urban amenities.

With the Chicago boutique now open, Hublot further embeds its retail strategy in high-visibility, experience-focused environments, while the building’s stewardship by The John Buck Company connects the location to an experienced commercial real estate manager with a national-scale portfolio.
