Related Companies is bringing a new franchise of The Goddard School to The Village at Tuxedo Reserve, its mixed-use community in New York’s Hudson Valley. The early childhood education provider, described as a nationally acclaimed franchise, is expected to open at the property in fall 2027, adding a childcare and education component to the master-planned environment.
The planned Goddard School facility in Tuxedo, NY will encompass 10,000 square feet of interior space dedicated to early childhood education. The building will be situated on a two-acre landscaped site within The Village at Tuxedo Reserve, designed to accommodate both the school and associated outdoor and access areas.
According to project details, the school site will incorporate 5,000 square feet of surrounding play yards, giving students access to dedicated outdoor recreation space. The plan also calls for dedicated adjacent parking, providing convenient access for parents and staff and integrating the facility into the broader circulation pattern of The Village.
Greg Gushee, EVP at Related Companies, said The Goddard School is recognized as a trusted provider of daycare and early childhood education and noted that the new Tuxedo location is expected to align with the area’s existing educational offerings. He added that the school will serve as an additional resource for both residents of The Village at Tuxedo Reserve and the wider Hudson Valley community.
Within The Village, the school will be part of a larger environment that offers families shopping, dining, wellness options, and year-round community programming. The development is anchored by Market Square, which features a timber-framed destination food market, and by The Village Green, positioned as a central gathering area for family-oriented events and programming.
By combining residential, retail, food and beverage, and educational uses, The Village at Tuxedo Reserve is structured to function as a neighborhood hub for daily needs and community activities. The addition of The Goddard School is intended to deepen the property’s family-focused positioning while integrating an institutional user into a predominantly retail- and lifestyle-driven setting.
