Ellis Realty Advisors is moving its headquarters to 4 Pond Park in Hingham, MA, repositioning a long-vacant office building as a new base for business activity on the South Shore. The property, which had been vacant since 2019, was acquired in November 2025 and has since been reimagined by the firm to align with its concept of a collaborative business hub. The headquarters move places Ellis Realty Advisors directly within the asset it has been working to transform.
According to the company, 4 Pond Park is intended to function as more than a traditional office location. Ellis Realty Advisors describes the building as a business growth ecosystem designed to support South Shore organizations and create a setting where businesses can work alongside one another. The repositioning effort reflects an emphasis on flexibility and collaboration within an office environment, as the firm prepares the building for multi-tenant occupancy while establishing its own operational base on site.
The company projects that buildout and leasing for 4 Pond Park will be completed within nine months of the acquisition date. That timeline encompasses both the physical improvements required to adapt the property to Ellis Realty Advisors’ vision and the leasing activity needed to bring additional tenants into the building. The effort marks a significant change for an asset that had remained unused for several years, as it transitions from vacancy to a programmed role in the regional business community.
One of the first organizations to commit to the repositioned property is the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, which is taking space at 4 Pond Park. Tim Cahill, president and CEO of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, said the organization is pleased to base its operations in the building and highlighted the potential of the location as a shared environment for local businesses. He described 4 Pond Park as an innovative hub for the South Shore business community, and a place where members, partners, and staff can convene to collaborate and plan for the future.
The combination of Ellis Realty Advisors’ headquarters relocation, the building’s reimagined role, and the early tenancy by the South Shore Chamber of Commerce underscores the property’s emerging function as a focal point for business engagement on the South Shore. As buildout progresses and additional tenants are secured, 4 Pond Park is expected to evolve from a previously vacant structure into an active office setting serving a range of local enterprises.
