National economic consulting firm Econic Partners LLC has signed a lease for more than 18,700 square feet at The Diamond, located at 150 N. Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago.

CBRE’s Brad Serot and Tony Coglianese represented Econic Partners in the transaction. Abby McFadyen of Madison Rose represented the building’s ownership, according to the Chicago Business Journal. The Diamond is situated at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street and features modern office space in a prominent downtown location.

The 41-story, 661,477-square-foot tower was acquired in 2024 by R2, a Chicago-based private equity real estate and development firm. The building is instantly recognizable for its sloped, diamond-shaped roof that stands out on the city’s skyline.

Econic Partners, based in Los Angeles, launched in early 2024. The firm specializes in antitrust litigation, mergers, commercial disputes, and various economic matters. Its team is composed of economists with industry experience spanning consumer goods, healthcare, technology, transportation, telecommunications, energy, sports, and media.
