"Discover the City's Subway System with the New Bronx Exhibit"

Experience the vibrant culture and history of New York City’s subway system through photographer Rita Nannini’s exhibition, “First Stop Last Stop: The Bronx.” Hosted by Simone Development Companies at The Gallery of ARTFul Medicine in Tower One at Hutchinson Metro Center, this exhibit will be open to the public from October 9, 2023 to January 5, 2024 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nannini embarked on her project in 2013 with a focus on capturing the first and final stops of each subway line, specifically highlighting the seven lines that run through the Bronx. Through her lens, she showcases not only these endpoints but also sheds light on unique aspects such as Pelham Bay Park’s hidden beach and an NFL-sized football field near Norwood station. Additionally, Nannini uncovers interesting facts about notable figures resting in Woodlawn Cemetery connected to these communities served by public transit. Don’t miss out on this captivating exhibition showcasing one of New York City’s most iconic features – its subway system.
