**Core Spaces Proposes Student Housing Development on Former Cheetah Club Site in Atlanta**
Core Spaces, in partnership with Capstone Communities, is seeking approval from the City of Atlanta to redevelop the longtime site of the Cheetah Club into a high-rise student housing tower for Georgia Tech students. The proposed 27-story development, named Hub Spring Street, aims to bring more than 1,000 beds across 532 residential units to Midtown Atlanta.
The project will feature a residential mix ranging from studio units to six-bedroom apartments, catering to a diverse student population. In addition to housing, the development includes approximately 6,500 square feet of retail space.
Planned amenities for residents include a rooftop pool on the 27th floor and a hot tub situated on the 26th floor, offering extensive views of the city.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the project will take several years to complete. The permit application indicates that the northwest corner of the property, located at the intersection of Spring Street and 8th Street, is being reserved for a future phase of development, with no specific timeline established.
Given the site’s close proximity to the Midtown MARTA station, city regulations will not require the developers to provide on-site parking.
This redevelopment project marks a significant change in the area and is part of a continuing trend of urban transformation in Midtown Atlanta.
