Construction of Phoenix's Tallest Skyscraper Approved

Phoenix’s tallest tower is set to rise 541 feet in the air, a full 60 feet higher than the current record holder, Chase Tower. According to The Arizona Republic, Phoenix City Council has approved plans for development of this towering structure known as Astra. Aspirant Development from Empire Group will be responsible for building it on Second and Van Buren streets over a 2-acre site.

The project promises an impressive 2 million square feet of space which will include 697 apartment units, 229 luxury hotel rooms (as yet unbranded), 185K square foot office space and 36K commercial area with retail stores and restaurants. Residents of Astra can enjoy views from its rooftop amenity deck – highest in the city!
