Phoenix has given the green light to a new development that will become Arizona’s tallest skyscraper. The Astra project, planned by Aspirant Development of the Empire Group, is set to rise 541 feet in the air – nearly 60 feet higher than Chase Tower which currently holds the title for Phoenix’s highest building. Located at Second and Van Buren, this 2-acre site will offer 2 million square feet of space including 697 apartment units, 229 luxury hotel rooms (with no brand yet associated), 185,000 square feet of office space and 36,000 square feet for commercial use such as retail stores and restaurants. Residents can enjoy breathtaking views from a rooftop amenity deck on top of the tallest tower – making it one of Phoenix’s most sought after locations!
