Construction of Phoenix's Tallest Skyscraper Approved

Phoenix is set to welcome its tallest tower, which will rise 541 feet in the air – nearly 60 feet higher than the current record holder, Chase Tower. According to The Arizona Republic, a plan for Arizona’s tallest skyscraper has been approved by Phoenix City Council.

Developed by Aspirant Development (part of Empire Group), Astra will occupy a 2-acre site at Second and Van Buren with over 2 million square feet of building space comprising 697 apartment units, 229 luxury hotel rooms, 185000 square foot office area and 36000 square foot commercial space for retail stores and restaurants.

The development features an amenity deck on top of its highest tower that offers stunning views from the city’s highest point while residents can enjoy luxurious facilities offered by an unnamed luxury hotel brand.
