**Building Block Foundation Fund to Host 2025 Annual White Party Charity Fundraiser at Newport Dunes**
In anticipation of the annual White Party Charity Fundraiser—scheduled for August 20 at Newport Dunes—Bob O’Neill, Executive Vice President at CapRock Partners and a longtime board member of the Building Block Foundation Fund (BBFF), sat down with Connect CRE to shed light on the impact of the event and its importance to the local community. CapRock Partners is once again a Title Sponsor of the 2025 event.
**Q: What is the focus of the Building Block Foundation Fund (BBFF) and how does it align with CapRock’s charitable and community mission?**
**A:** The Building Block Foundation Fund (BBFF) is dedicated to supporting charities that impact the lives of at-risk and underserved youth in Orange County. The organization brings together the commercial real estate (CRE) industry to raise both funds and awareness for critical causes. Since its inception in 2004, BBFF has raised more than $3.2 million for partner charities such as Project Access, Hope Ignites Southern California, Everfree, Joyful Child Foundation, KidWorks, Orangewood Children’s Foundation, HomeAid, and Hope Builders.
This mission fits seamlessly with CapRock Partners’ core value of “Blessed to Be a Blessing (10%),” which highlights the company’s commitment to donating a portion of its success to charitable organizations. As a BBFF board member since 2009, I’ve seen firsthand how the foundation’s work supports our shared goals to bring positive change to the community. The alignment between BBFF’s goals and CapRock’s core values makes this partnership a natural fit.
**Q: What makes the charities supported by BBFF so impactful, and why should the CRE industry take notice?**
**A:** The charities that benefit from BBFF’s efforts address some of the most critical challenges facing at-risk youth in the region. From education and housing to mentorship and child protection, these organizations provide vital services. For example, the Orangewood Foundation offers support for young people facing homelessness and human trafficking, including scholarships and independent living assistance. Project Access and HomeAid emphasize housing and community stability, while Hope Ignites Southern California, Everfree, Joyful Child Foundation, KidWorks, and Hope Builders offer a range of services focused on education, job readiness, child safety, and advocacy.
The Commercial Real Estate industry should see BBFF as a meaningful platform to channel its success into tangible impact. Participating in BBFF events like the White Party not only helps financially, but also raises awareness about the real struggles faced by underserved youth. It’s more than just charity—it’s a call to action for CRE leaders to engage in long-term community betterment efforts.
**Q: What are you most looking forward to at this year’s event?**
**A:** I’m especially excited about the strong momentum we’re seeing around the 2025 White Party. We have over 50 corporate sponsors confirmed, including several first-time sponsors, and we anticipate more than 375 CRE professionals will attend. Last year’s event completely sold out—all sponsorship levels and individual tickets—which speaks volumes about the growing support for BBFF. Personally, I look forward to the opportunity to connect with industry colleagues in a dynamic, beachside setting, all while contributing to a cause we deeply believe in. Watching this event grow over the last nine years has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to see the continued impact it creates.
**Q: What can attendees expect during the 2025 White Party?**
**A:** The 2025 White Party at Newport Dunes promises a vibrant evening full of energy, connection, and good will. Attendees can expect a stunning beachside atmosphere with great food, live music, games, and fun party props to keep the celebration lively. But beyond the festivities, the event offers a deeper purpose—it bridges business success with community service, transforming CRE industry engagement into real support for local youth. This one-of-a-kind evening blends networking with philanthropy, making it an evening to remember and a tradition worth supporting.
