Bridewell Tavern Kitchen Debuts at Burr Ridge Village Center
CRE Market Beat Take
Active remerchandising with dining, services, and coworking strengthens Burr Ridge Village Center’s tenancy profile, supporting income durability and long-term asset value post-2019 acquisition.

Burr Ridge Village Center is expanding its mix of retail, dining, and services with several new concepts, highlighted by the debut of Bridewell Tavern Kitchen & Bar. The restaurant is now open at 595 Village Center Drive and brings a traditional tavern-style offering to the property, with a focus on fine cocktails and a menu built around seed-oil-free ingredients.

Beauty and wellness uses are also growing at the open-air center. Coco Nail Bar has recently opened, introducing a modern, design-focused nail salon experience to the property. The new service-oriented tenant complements the center’s existing retail and restaurant lineup and adds another reason for local residents and visitors to spend more time on site.

Additional food and beverage options are in the pipeline. Kilwins Burr Ridge is scheduled to open at the end of April, adding a well-known confectionery and ice cream brand to the tenant roster. Kilwins is recognized for handcrafted chocolates, fudge, and ice cream, and has built a following since its founding in 1947. Its arrival is expected to broaden the property’s appeal to families and destination shoppers seeking dessert and specialty treats.

The center is also preparing to introduce a flexible workspace component. Enclave Coworking is slated to open in fall 2026 in an approximately 3,300-square-foot space at Burr Ridge Village Center. Plans call for a mix of private offices, coworking memberships, and shared areas designed to support productivity, giving the property a daytime user base that complements its retail and dining traffic.

Burr Ridge Village Center is owned and managed by Edwards Realty Company and Core Acquisitions. The ownership structure stems from a joint venture that purchased the property in 2019 for $15 million. Since that acquisition, the owners have continued to refine the merchandising strategy, bringing in a blend of restaurant, service, specialty retail, and coworking concepts aimed at strengthening the center’s role as a community destination.

With Bridewell Tavern Kitchen & Bar now open, Coco Nail Bar recently launched, Kilwins Burr Ridge nearing its debut, and Enclave Coworking on the way, the property is layering in diverse uses that support both evening and daytime activity. The combination of food and beverage, personal services, and flexible office space reflects ongoing efforts by the ownership team to keep the center relevant and well-positioned within the regional retail landscape.
